Fostering incubation and startups in the sector 

Kaunas, 26th and 27th of March

Fostering incubation and startups in the sector it’s the policy on which it has been focused the 8th Thematic Exchange Workshop held inKaunas on 26th and 27th of March. The event coordinated by Lithuanian partnerKTURegionalScienceParkwas intended to present to the partners and stakeholders involved the most significant Good Practices identified in individual areas and related to the topic under discussion. On 26th GPs presentation session started with MITA, the main governmental institution responsible for implementation of innovation policy inLithuania providing services to foster the development of science, industry and services sectors based on advanced technologies and innovation. Then Lille Metropole has introduced Textile Incubation Centre at INNOTEX, a unique French textile incubator with 10 years experience in providing support for the creation of  innovative textile companies. NanaBianca (and Wowcracy experience) has been subsequently introduced as GP fromPrato area. Nana Bianca is an Italian startup accelerator that works in a digital environment favoring the development of startups based on innovative business models and Wowcracy as a related successful case history is a crowdfunding platform focused on fashion designers (www.wowcracy.it). At the end of the morningUK partner WSA, has closed the workshop introducing the Centre for Fashion Enterprise (CFE),London’s pioneering fashion business incubator that provides expert guidance in the fields of finance, legal, manufacturing and marketing such as strategic advice on progressive business solutions from industry leaders and key influencers. After lunch Study Visits agenda has started with the visit to Laboratories of KTU Institute of Material Engineering and it has ended to Startup Space, entrepreneurship center and free co-working space based in Kaunas University of Technology and dedicated to young entrepreneurs, hustlers, hackers, designers. During the visit this experience has been introduced to PLUSTEX partners as KTU Good Practice for this PLC.
