9th Thematic Exchange Workshop and Study Visit / 14th – 15th May 2014, Winchester (United Kingdom)


it will be focused on “Fostering eco-innovation and social responsibility in the sector” policy the 9th Exchange Thematic Workshop, to be held inWinchesterand Southampton (UK) on next 14 and 15 May. The event will be organized by The University of Southampton with Winchester School of Art, one of theUK’s leading art and design institutions.Textile industry is generally understood to be one of the most polluting industries. Most of the production steps involved in the textile chain are not sustainable processes and creates a high impact on the environment during the production. Over the last few years, textile sector stakeholders have realized their social responsibility towards the environment developing ideas, suggestions, solutions, policies and projects to face the question.  The workshop inWinchesterwill introduce a set of Good Practices that will tell in detail these proposals and experiences developed over the territories partners of Plustex Project.
